Description: JAF is consulting as a Community Outreach & Engagement Consultant alongside Designing in Color for a roughly 100,000 SF Community Center and Park Space located in the Watts community of Los Angeles, CA. This project is being developed by Primestor and HACLA.

Watts Towers Arts Center Campus
Watts, Los Angeles, CA
Current Phase: Conceptual Design
Description: JAF is consulting as a Community Design Consultant and Project Manager for the architectural consultant, Off Top Design. The Watts Towers Campus Renovation and Development project will transform 2.96 acres into an updated green multi-benefit park in the heart of Watts at a site that receives over 40,000 visitors annually. The lead Landscape Architect is Studio Zewde with the development being led by the Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust (LANLT).

AGC Performing Arts Center
West Adams, Los Angeles, CA
Current Phase: Phase 2 Pre-Development
Phase 1 Renovation Completed - 2023
Description: JAF is consulting as a Impact Strategist & Community Partnerships Consultant as well as an Owner's Rep for the non-profit organization, Amazing Grace Conservatory (AGC), to raise funds, design, and develop a new Performing Arts Center in the West Adams community of Los Angeles alongside Gensler LA.

Description: JAF consulted on the Community Partnerships & Outreach scope during the renovation of an old bank building into the new headquarters for the AIA and ACLA Los Angeles Chapter located in the West Adams community of Los Angeles, CA. The purpose is to build trust between the organization and the neighborhood in an effort to develop relationships for future community focused programming.

Super Bloom Master Plan
Lancaster, CA
Current Phase: RFP Proposal - Shortlisted
Description: JAF consulted as the Community Development & Impact Strategist Consultant for the Master Plan study and design of a 35-acre development project in Lancaster, CA. JAF focused on crafting the community strategy synthesizing team narratives in order to submit an equitable and inclusive economic urban development master plan for the city of Lancaster. The Super Bloom development project envisions a comprehensive, interconnected approach to addressing gentrification and its effects on displaced communities. The project included open space, housing, sports facilities, education, retail spaces, and a small business maker village. Think Watts Foundation and Primestor Development were the lead development partners for this proposal with Master Planning by Agency Artifact and Architectural Design by Off Top Design.
